The smooth toe seam

No ridge sitting across your toes.

Every sock has a toe seam. On many it is a hard little ridge that sits right across the top of your toes inside a shoe, and it is the first thing you notice when your feet are sore.

Ours is knit smooth and flat, so it lies flush against the sock. There is nothing raised to press or to rub.

Underfoot and up the leg

Cushioned where you stand, soft everywhere else.

The sole is knit with a cushion through the heel and the ball of the foot, so a hard floor is less of a hard floor. The rest is soft cotton that moves air instead of trapping it.

The top is non-binding too, so nothing digs in at the leg either.

Questions before you order

What does a smooth toe seam actually mean?

Every sock has a toe seam, including ours. The difference is that ours is knit smooth and flat, so there is no hard ridge sitting across the top of your toes inside a shoe.

Are they scratchy?

No. They are knit from soft cotton and cushioned underfoot, and they stay soft through the wash. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low, and skip the bleach and fabric softener.

Which of the four should I start with?

Start with the Cotton Crew if you want one pack to live in. Pick the Cotton Ankle if you mostly wear low shoes. Choose the Ultra-Soft Upper Calf if you want the softest, most cushioned knit of the four. The Over The Calf Compression Socks have the same smooth, flat toe seam, with graduated support up the leg if you want it.

How do the sizes run?

Sizes go by your everyday shoe size, and the exact range for each style is listed on its product page. The women's range starts at Small (shoe size 4–7). A sock that is too tight will rub, so between sizes go up.

What if they aren't right?

Every pair carries a 1-Year Replacement Guarantee. If a sock gets a hole or wears out within a year of buying it, send it back and we'll replace it free. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum.
